Implementation & applied support

Design & sourcing · Submittal review, technical change control, commissioning and early operation

Implementation support keeps the agreed technical basis visible as the project moves through detailed design, submittals, procurement, installation, commissioning and early operation.

We review process-related submissions and proposed changes, clarify responsibilities and connection requirements, and define the checks and records needed to verify performance.

Support can begin at award, during design or submittal review, before commissioning, or when early operation needs structured stabilisation. The assignment is matched to the defined need and the responsibilities of the appointed project team.

IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT

Keep technical requirements visible through delivery and early operation

We review process-related submissions and changes, define verification requirements and follow the agreed basis through commissioning and early operation.

DEFINE process responsibilities REVIEW submissions + changes SET performance checks RECORD results + actions
Where delivery loses control

Submittals, proposed alternatives, package responsibilities and commissioning records are handled separately, weakening the link to the agreed duty.

What we define and review
  • Process responsibilities, connection requirements and required supplier information.
  • Technical changes and their effects on performance, operation and testing.
  • Commissioning, monitoring and process-related handover requirements.
What this establishes

The project team works from one technical reference. Changes remain traceable, performance checks are defined and early-operation actions are based on recorded results.

Scope boundary

We provide process and systems support through implementation. The client, consultant, EPC, suppliers and contractors retain their contractual responsibilities for detailed multidisciplinary design, construction planning, HSE, quality management, installation and execution.

IMPLEMENTATION BASIS

Keep the agreed technical basis visible through delivery

Submittals, alternatives, technical changes and site decisions must be checked against the same duty, operating conditions and responsibilities. We keep those references visible through commissioning and early operation.

IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT · DEFINED ASSIGNMENTS

Keep technical decisions aligned through delivery and into operation.

Implementation support keeps the agreed technical basis visible as the project moves through detailed design, submittals, procurement, installation, commissioning and early operation.

Submittals, proposed alternatives and site decisions can change responsibilities, operating ranges or performance obligations. Commissioning may then begin without the same tests, data requirements or operating conditions used to define the system.

Our role is process and systems support through implementation. We review the available contract and design information, identify the technical decisions that require review, and connect commissioning and early-operation records back to the required duty.

The assignment can cover a complete delivery period or a defined need. We focus on:

  • Operating ranges, performance targets and responsibilities that must remain traceable.
  • Technical effects of proposed changes on process duty, operation, cost and required testing.
  • Commissioning and performance records needed to verify the agreed requirements.
  • Process-related handover information, training inputs, spares and operating baselines.

This gives the client, consultant, EPC, suppliers, contractors and operators a consistent technical reference for what was agreed, reviewed, tested and handed over.

Assignment 1 · Delivery basis and responsibilities

Review the award and contract technical information, confirm the process duty and define responsibilities, review points and required records for implementation.

Assignment 2 · Submittal and technical change review

Review process-related submittals, calculations, P&IDs, layouts and proposed changes against the agreed flows, loads, hydraulics, operating conditions and equipment duties.

Assignment 3 · Commissioning and performance verification

Define or review the commissioning and performance-test basis, including operating conditions, sampling, trends, test duration, results format and retesting requirements.

Assignment 4 · Early-operation stabilisation

Review early performance against the agreed basis, distinguish unresolved design or commissioning issues from operating adjustments, and define practical actions for stable operation.

When our implementation support is useful

This support is used by clients and project teams that need an independent process and systems review during delivery, commissioning or early operation. It can follow earlier EnWater work or begin from information prepared by others.

The assignment is most useful where the system duty is defined but process-related submissions, changes, responsibilities, performance testing or early-operation results still need structured review.

Typical situations

  • Awarded project entering detailed design or submittal review.
  • Single or multi-package delivery with unclear process responsibilities.
  • Commissioning approaching without a defined performance-test basis.

What you may already have

  • Award or contract technical schedules and supplier responsibilities.
  • Complete, partial or supplier-led design information.
  • Submittals, change requests, commissioning plans or early operating data.

What you still need

  • A process and systems review against the required duty.
  • Defined technical change, commissioning and performance records.
  • Process-related handover information and an operating baseline.
Delivery support

Submittal, change and coordination review

We review the available award, contract and design information and define the process-side requirements, responsibilities, review points and records that must remain visible during delivery.

Support may cover the full delivery period or a defined requirement such as submittal review, technical change assessment, commissioning criteria, controls information or coordination with existing systems.

Project examples

Implementation support changes with the contracting arrangement, project position and site conditions. These examples show how the review and verification requirements may differ.

NEW PLANTS · COMPLETE SYSTEMS

New plant or package delivery

Review process-related submittals, proposed changes, supplier responsibilities and commissioning requirements against the awarded technical basis.

EXISTING PLANTS · UPGRADES

Upgrades within operating plants

Define the process connection, operating-continuity and temporary process provisions the delivery team must accommodate, and review how the proposed implementation affects existing plant duty.

COMMISSIONING · EARLY OPERATION

Commissioning recovery and early-operation stabilisation

Where commissioning is incomplete or early operation remains unstable, review the available data, unresolved technical items, controls and operating adjustments, then define the checks and actions needed for stable performance.

PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION

Verify performance against defined conditions and records

Performance results are meaningful only when the test conditions, operating ranges, sampling, trends, duration and open items are recorded against the agreed requirements.

Commissioning support

Commissioning, performance verification & early operation

Support can begin before site commissioning, during performance testing or when early operation has not stabilised. We define or review the technical checks, operating conditions, data and records needed to assess the required performance.

We help distinguish incomplete commissioning, unresolved design or supplier issues, controls and instrumentation problems, and operating adjustments. Actions and retesting requirements are then recorded against the same technical basis.
