Projects usually begin with a specific trigger: a new treatment need, an underperforming plant, a reuse target, an unresolved residual route or an equipment requirement. Project Pathways connects that trigger to the decisions that follow, from whether treatment is required and to what level, through route comparison, site fit and the work needed to progress.

The guides cover treatment, reuse, biosolids and equipment projects while showing where one pathway affects another. They provide a considered basis for comparing options rather than starting from a preferred technology or supplier package.

Establishes the treatment structure and technology combination best suited to the site, together with the connections, controls, monitoring and next work needed to progress it.
